  • The 10th International Management Conference “Challenges of Modern Management” (2016)

    The 10th International Management Conference “Challenges of Modern Management” held on 3rd – 4th November 2016 was organized by the Faculty of Management from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in partnership with Management Academic Society in Romania (SAMRO). This year’s edition reunited participants from universities (professors, researchers, PhD students) and representatives of the business environment, both from Romania and from abroad.

    Accepted papers were published in the Conference Proceedings (CD with ISSN) and/or in the journals of the Faculty of Management: Review of International Comparative Management (http://www.rmci.ase.ro/), Management and Economics Review (http://www.mer.ase.ro/) and Business Excellence and Management (http://beman.ase.ro/).

    The conference was opened by three keynote speakers:

    • Miguel GONZÁLEZ-LOUREIRO, Ph.D. Assistant Professor – University of Vigo (Spain) and Visiting Scholar Fellowship in CIICESI (Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Portugal): Challenges of Modern Management: What can be Expected from Organizational Neuroscience and Cognitive Science?
    • Ovidiu NICOLESCU, Ph.D. Professor – President of the Management Academic Society in Romania (SAMRO): Dual Nature of the Microentrepreneur – Businessman and Employee
    • Gabriel CREȚU, Ph.D. – Managing Partner, Adwisers and Associate Professor, Bucharest University of Economic Studies: Teachers’ and Leaders’ Impact upon the Fresh Graduates

    The 9th International Management Conference “Management and Innovation for Competitive Advantage” (2015)

    The 9th edition of the International Management Conference “Management and Innovation for Competitive Advantage (5th-6th November 2015) was a forum for collaboration and exchange of ideas among leading researchers and practitioners in the business field aimed at identifying solutions to economic and social issues in the context of sustainable development.  This edition gathered participants from Romanian prestigious universities and around the world, like the European Danube Academy – Germany, Artois University, University of Lodz – Poland, Ling Tung University – Taiwan, Istanbul University – Turkey, Stenden South Africa – South Africa, University of Bolton – UK, Kadir Has University, Turkey. The conference was a great opportunity for representatives of the business arena and researchers to establish a community of specialists and to strengthen their relationship for future collaborations. The contributions of the participants of this edition, rigorously selected by a committee of peer reviewers and published in the conference proceedings or the journals of the faculty, was of great significance to the development of new business practices and approaches for sustainable development.

    The 8th International Management Conference “Management Challenges for Sustainable Development” (2014)

    IMC2013The 8th edition of the International Management Conference “Management Challenges for Sustainable Development” (6th-7th November 2014) was a forum for collaboration and exchange of ideas among leading researchers and practitioners in the business field aimed at identifying solutions to economic and social issues in the context of sustainable development.  This edition gathered participants from Romanian prestigious universities and around the world, like the University at Buffalo (USA), Czech Technical University in Prague, Artois University, University of Latvia, University of Ruse, European University of Tirana. The conference was a great opportunity for representatives of the business arena and researchers to establish a community of specialists and to strengthen their relationship for future collaborations. The contributions of the participants of this edition, rigorously selected by a committee of peer reviewers and published in the conference proceedings or the journals of the faculty, was of great significance to the development of new business practices and approaches for sustainable development.

    The 7th International Management Conference “New Management for the New Economy” (2013)

     
    IMC2013The 7th International Management Conference held on 7th-8th November 2013 was organized by the Faculty of Management from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in partnership with the Management Academic Society in Romania (SAMRO) and the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB). This year’s edition reunited participants from universities (professors, researchers, PhD students) and representatives of the business environment both from Romania and from abroad (University at Buffalo – USA, Universite d’Artois – France, University of Porto – Portugal, Corvinus University – Hungary, University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev” – Bulgaria, University of Akureyri – Iceland, University of Indonesia – Indonesia).

    The 6th International Management Conference “Approaches in Organisational Management” (2012)

    At the previous edition of International Management Conference participants from the most prestigious Romanian universities in Economics attended. Guest speakers from top universities in France, Bulgaria and Italy were part of the board of the conference sessions. The Conference Proceedings was submitted for evaluation to the Conference Proceedings Citation Index by Thomson Reuters – ISI Proceedings.
